Probably one of the most Omani days of the year with the locals all in their traditional outfits. Every year a different city with a different theme is chosen to host the main event. There are celebrations throughout the country, however, with thousands of pictures of the Sultan on display, firecrackers by night, march bands and lots of traditional folk music.
