The journey takes you through the Hajar Mountains into the country's interior. You visit the silver capital Nizwa with its 17th century round tower fort; the silver souq and the Friday cattle auction. Passing by the UNESCO listed Bahla fort and village, famous for its pottery, you enter Oman's finest castle, Jabrin, built in the late 17th century. It displays beautiful ceiling paintings and woodcarvings. On the way back, you enjoy a walk through the date plantations of Birkat Al Mauq, an old village on the foot of the Jebal Al Akhdar.
