4 Day, 3 Night Private Tour Wadi Shab & Sur, Mountains & Turtles
Travel along the northerly coastline from Muscat to the stunning Wadi Shab, the old fishing town of Sur where you can still see the wooden dhows being made. You also enjoy a visit to the turtle reserve before heading up into the Hajar Mountains, known as Oman's Grand Canyon
Day One:
You head out of Muscat to Barka before entering Wadi Al Abyad, which is a truly unique wadi with numerous streams and gorges to drive through and with plenty of places to stop and admire the scenery. You will also enjoy a picnic lunch here before heading to the town of Nakhal and Rustaq and through to Wadi Bani Awf and up the mountain to Jebal Shams. You continue on the top of the mountains and explore Al Hamra and Bilad Sait as well as Wadi Ghul. You’ll spend the night on top of the mountain.
Day Two:
After breakfast, you’ll head inland to Wadi Bani Khalid for a mid-morning swim and picnic lunch in the serenity of one of Oman most visited and loved Wadi's. Travelling on to Sur a port, which is a place visited by Marco Polo in the 16th century and the original home of dhows, you still can see the boats being made today. You head onto the turtle reserve at Ras Al Jinz for the night.
Day Three:
After sunrise you’ll travel north along to coast to the sink hole and Wadi Shab. The 250-meter sink hole is a natural oasis in the heart of the mountain range, and then you’ll have a short journey to Wadi Shab. You can either stay in Sur or travel on to White Sands Beach at Fins for the night.
Day Four:
You return to Muscat this morning via Quriyat.
