Itinerary

Day One:

You head out of Muscat to Barka before entering Wadi Al Abyad, which is a truly unique wadi with numerous streams and gorges to drive through and with plenty of places to stop and admire the scenery. You will also enjoy a picnic lunch here before heading to the town of Nakhal and Rustaq and through to Wadi Bani Awf and up the mountain to Jebal Shams. You continue on the top of the mountains and explore Al Hamra and Bilad Sait as well as Wadi Ghul. You’ll spend the night on top of the mountain.

Day Two:

You will depart after breakfast and head to the Wahiba Sands via Ibra and Sinaw. You will enter the desert at mid afternoon and head to your desert camp. On arrival at the camp, you are greeted with Oman qahwa (coffee). Then you can enjoy camel riding into the sand dunes, dune-bashing in a 4x4, quad biking, or just sit back and relax in the sand and wait for the jewel of Arabia (the sunset over the dunes).

Day Three:

After sunrise you’ll travel north along to coast to the sink hole and Wadi Shab via Sur. The 250-meter sink hole is a natural oasis in the heart of the mountain range, and then you’ll have a short journey to Wadi Shab. After that, you’ll return to Muscat.
