2 Day, 1 Night Private Tour Mountains
You’ll travel along the coast to Barka and Wadi Bani Awf before climbing over the mountains via Nakhal and Rustaq. The scenery is breathtaking and there will be plenty of places to stop en route, take photos and breathe in the mountain air. We recommend staying the night on top of the mountain before dropping into Nizwa to explore the forts there on your way back to Muscat.
Day One:
You head out of Muscat to Barka before entering Wadi Al Abyad, which is a truly unique wadi with numerous streams and gorges to drive through and with plenty of places to stop and admire the scenery. You will also enjoy a picnic lunch here before heading to the town of Nakhal and Rustaq and through to Wadi Bani Awf and up the mountain to Jebal Shams. You’ll continue on the top of the mountains and explore Al Hamra and Bilad Sait as well as Wadi Ghul. You’ll spend the night on top of the mountain.
Day Two:
You travel down the Hajar Mountains to Nizwa via Birkat Al Mauz, Oman's old capital. You’ll have a chance to explore the old forts of Nizwa, Jabrin and Bahla as well as the Al Hotta Caves before heading back to Muscat.
